Gisborne Botanic Gardens
Gisborne, Macedon Ranges, VIC
25 Robertson St, Gisborne, VIC 3437
Established in 1987, the Gisborne Botanic Gardens are relatively new and have a focus on sustainable and contemporary design. They are located on a scenic bend of Jacksons Creek. The gardens are being developed in stages and already feature an impressive collection of plants from New Zealand, a specialist garden of Australian Proteaceae (banksias, grevilleas), and a serene Sensory Garden. A walking track follows the creek through the gardens. It's a beautiful spot for a family picnic, with a playground, barbecues, and shelters available. Dogs are welcome on a leash. Entry is free.
