Gippsland Lakes Coastal Park
Lakes Entrance, Gippsland, VIC
Lakes Entrance, VIC 3909
The Gippsland Lakes Coastal Park is a long, narrow park that offers two distinct aquatic experiences: the calm, sheltered waters of the lakes on one side, and the powerful Southern Ocean on the other. The park encompasses the world-famous Ninety Mile Beach, an unbroken stretch of golden sand perfect for surfing, fishing, and beachcombing. On the lake side, boating, kayaking, and fishing are extremely popular. The park has numerous lakeside and seaside campgrounds, picnic areas, and boat ramps. It's a prime destination for water-based recreation and enjoying the natural beauty of the lakes and ocean. Dogs are permitted on-leash in some areas, but restrictions apply, particularly on beaches during summer. Entry is free, but camping fees apply.
