Established in 1851, the Geelong Botanic Gardens are set within the larger Eastern Park and offer a tranquil and beautiful experience. The gardens showcase a blend of old and new. The heritage section features magnificent mature trees, sweeping lawns, and colourful perennial borders. The 21st Century Garden is a modern addition that focuses on drought-tolerant plants and innovative landscape design. The gardens are a perfect place for a walk or picnic and include a tea house and a children's playground. Dogs are welcome on-leash in the surrounding Eastern Park but are not permitted inside the fenced botanic gardens. Entry is free.
