Frankston Nature Conservation Reserve
Frankston South, Melbourne, VIC
Jeremy Way, Frankston South, VIC 3199
Frankston Nature Conservation Reserve is a 98-hectare sanctuary for native flora and fauna. Formerly the Frankston Reservoir, the area was closed to the public for nearly a century, allowing the bushland to regenerate. Now, a network of walking tracks allows visitors to explore the diverse heathland, woodland, and grassy forest environments. The serene reservoir is a haven for waterbirds. The reserve is a fantastic spot for a quiet bushwalk and birdwatching. To protect the sensitive environment and wildlife, dogs and other pets are not permitted. The park gates open and close at set times. Entry is free.
