The park is heritage-listed for its landscape design, which includes stone-walled terraces, ornamental ponds, and diverse botanical collections. It's a popular spot for picnics, with numerous barbecue facilities and shelters. The park also has sports grounds, a playground, and access to the Maribyrnong River Trail.
