Established in 1862, Flagstaff Gardens holds a significant place in Melbourne's history. It was the site of the city's first burial ground and a signalling station. Today, it is a much-loved park providing a relaxing escape from the city bustle. The gardens feature mature trees, extensive lawns perfect for picnicking, rose gardens, and sculptures. The park also has tennis courts, bowling greens, and a children's playground. Its elevated position offers some nice views of the city. Dogs must be kept on a leash. Entry is free.
