Errinundra National Park

Errinundra, Gippsland, VIC

Errinundra Rd, Errinundra, VIC 3891

Errinundra National Park protects one of Victoria's most significant old-growth forests, creating a magical, prehistoric landscape. The park is renowned for its magnificent stands of Shining Gum and ancient Southern Sassafras, which form a dense, moss-covered canopy. The main attractions are the two rainforest walks, the Errinundra Boardwalk and the Tarra River Walk, which provide easy access to the heart of this cool temperate rainforest. The park is a haven for wildlife, including powerful owls, lyrebirds, and several species of gliders. Access to the park is via unsealed logging roads, which can be challenging in wet or snowy weather. Facilities are limited to picnic tables and toilets at the walk entrances. To protect the fragile ecosystem, dogs are not permitted. Entry is free.
