Dereel Lagoon Wildlife Reserve

The Dereel Lagoon Wildlife Reserve protects a valuable freshwater wetland ecosystem. The lagoon is a significant habitat for a variety of waterbirds, frogs, and other aquatic life. A walking track circuits the lagoon, allowing visitors to enjoy the peaceful atmosphere and observe the wildlife. Interpretive signage provides information about the local flora and fauna. The reserve has a small picnic area with tables. To protect the wildlife, dogs should be kept on a leash. Entry is free.
