Today, the reserve is a popular spot for recreation, featuring extensive open spaces and a network of trails for walking, cycling, and horse riding. The landscape includes river flats along the Dandenong Creek, mature river red gums, and areas of revegetated bushland. A well-equipped picnic area provides barbecues, shelters, and toilets. Dogs are permitted on-leash. Park gates open and close at set times. Entry is free.
