The park is a haven for wildlife and offers unparalleled opportunities for remote hiking, camping, kayaking, and birdwatching. Highlights include the historic Point Hicks Lighthouse, the magnificent Thurra River sand dunes, and the tranquil inlets of Mallacoota. The Wilderness Coast Walk is a challenging multi-day hike for experienced walkers. Numerous campgrounds are scattered throughout the park, though many are remote and require 4WD access.
