Creswick Regional Park
Creswick, Goldfields, VIC
St Georges Lake Rd, Creswick, VIC 3363
Creswick Regional Park surrounds the historic town of Creswick and protects a landscape that was dramatically altered by gold mining. The park is now a peaceful area of regrowth forest, dotted with relics of its mining past, such as water races and diggings. It is also significant as the site of Victoria's first State Nursery and School of Forestry. Today, visitors can enjoy walks around St Georges Lake, a popular spot for swimming and picnicking, and explore the extensive network of trails. The park is also home to La Gerche Forest Walk, which honours the pioneering work of the forest's first bailiff. Dogs are permitted on-leash. Entry is free.
