The park is characterized by tall eucalypt forests, river gums, and delicate heathlands that burst with wildflowers in spring. It's a fantastic park for remote bushwalking, camping, and horse riding, offering a true sense of solitude. The iconic 250km Great South West Walk passes through the park, with several hikers' camps located within its boundaries.
