Cathedral Range State Park

The Cathedral Range State Park is a prominent and dramatic geological feature, famous for its 7-kilometre-long ridge. The park is a magnet for experienced hikers and rock climbers who are drawn to its challenging terrain. The trails range from gentle river-side walks to strenuous and exposed rock scrambles along the ridge itself, such as Wells Cave and the Razorback. The views from the peaks are spectacular, overlooking the Acheron Valley and surrounding forests. The park has several picnic and camping areas, including Cooks Mill, which has wood barbecues and toilets. The hike is demanding and requires a good level of fitness and preparation. Dogs are not permitted. Entry is free.
