Carrai National Park is a self-reliant destination protecting over 11,000 hectares of forest. Very little infrastructure exists in the park; rough tracks traverse the forest and require a 4WD. Basic shelter is available at Daisy Plains. Experienced bushwalkers can trek out for jaw-dropping views across the Macleay River valley. Parking & Fees: Entry to the park is free. Suitable for self-reliant camping (fees may apply for basic designated areas). Always check alerts as the park frequently closes due to weather/fire danger.
