Calm Bay State Reserve, located on the north-west corner of Tasmania's Tasman Peninsula, is a serene coastal retreat known for its secluded beaches, sheltered coves, and rich convict history. The reserve encompasses approximately 1,300 hectares of diverse landscapes, including dry coastal woodlands and rocky sandstone bluffs. The reserve is adjacent to the World Heritage-listed Coal Mines Historic Site, providing a glimpse into Tasmania's convict past. While facilities are basic, the reserve offers picnic tables and parking areas for visitors. Dogs are not permitted, and campfires are only allowed in designated areas during specific seasons.
