Braeside Park

Braeside Park is a significant environmental and recreational park that was once farmland. It now protects precious remnant heathland and wetland habitats. The park features a diverse landscape that can be explored via an extensive network of multi-use trails, including the 8.5km Red Gum Trail. It is a haven for wildlife, with numerous bird hides located around the wetlands for keen birdwatchers. The park is well-equipped for visitors, offering multiple picnic and barbecue areas, toilets, a community garden, and an adventure playground. Dogs are welcome on-leash. The park gates are opened and closed at specific times, so it's advisable to check the Parks Victoria website. Entry is free.
