557-559 Napier St, White Hills, VIC 3550
Established in 1857, the Bendigo Botanic Gardens are a significant cultural and horticultural site. The gardens are divided into distinct precincts. The heritage section showcases classic Victorian-era design with grand trees, a ornamental lake, and colourful floral displays. In contrast, the 'Garden for the Future' is a contemporary botanic garden focused on water conservation and showcasing plants from around the world that are suited to Bendigo's climate. The gardens are a community hub, featuring an excellent children's playground, picnic and barbecue facilities, and open lawns. Dogs are welcome on-leash. Entry is free.
