Anglesea Heath
Anglesea, Surf Coast, VIC
Camp Rd, Anglesea, VIC 3230
Anglesea Heath is a 7,200-hectare reserve recognized for having one of the richest and most diverse collections of native flora in Victoria. It contains approximately one-quarter of the state's orchid species, making it a key destination for botanists and nature lovers, especially during the spring wildflower season. A network of walking tracks and management vehicle tracks allows visitors to explore the different vegetation communities, from heathland to woodland and riparian forest. Facilities are minimal, with parking available at key trailheads. There are no picnic areas, barbecues, or toilets within the heath itself. Due to its high conservation value, dogs are not permitted. Entry is free.
